SPECIAL EDITION

Schedule System Demo/Orientation Set for Meeting Nite - Nov. 17
Anticipating a decision to change to a new web-based scheduling system, there will be a demo and 'hands-on' orientation of the new system at the club's regular meeting, Thursday, November 17.  This is also the night we will have our annual election of officers.
While details are currently being worked on, we hope to made a switch to this new system on or about December 1, 2005.  As mentioned in the previous issue of Propwash sent out recently, you can see and test this particular system by logging onto
www.schedulemaster.com/1stdemo.htm and following the instructions for either the telephone demo or the internet demo.
Obviously we have many details to work out and it may not be possible to switch to the system as we hope.  We may plan for additional times to show this system prior to the actual switchover date.
We are attempting to assign the current member PIN's to be the passwords on the new system.  This will be finalized and announced at Thursday's meeting.
Also, since we are attempting to make the switchover effective December 1st, ANY MEMBERS WHO HAVE ALREADY MADE AIRCRAFT SCHEDULES AFTER THAT DATE WILL NEED TO MAKE THEM AGAIN ON THE NEW SYSTEM.  Again, more information will be available at Thursday's meeting.
Work is being done to extend the coverage of the WiFi at the Pilot's Club so that our computer in the MAA office can be used to make an internet connection. The computer in the MPC clubhouse can be used until such time as we resolve the technical issues to extend the signal into the MAA office.
For those who use aircraft at EKM, there is a computer in the flight planning room at IFC that members can use.  This will be essential upon returning to the Elkhart in order to log in the flight information.
The new system requires that all pilots who return from a flight to log onto the scheduling system and recording their Hobbs and Tach times.  These entries will be used to update the member's account and bill him/her for their activity.
And, it will also be the pilot/member's responsibility to maintain all personal information, such as BFR and medical dates, changes in address, phone numbers (including pagers, cell phone and fax) as well as email addresses.  Failure to do may result in that person's inability to log onto the system and make reservations.
